Church & Monastery
Also known as Koimesis tas Panagias, this church stands on the valley slopes, partly carved into the rock. It is far smaller and plainer than the Aya Eleni; what makes it striking is its position and the old cemetery around it. The gravestones carry workmanship particular to the region, along with traces of Karamanlidika — Turkish written in the Greek alphabet.
